Additional funding for the Cedar Hill Strong grant and loan program was approved by the Cedar Hill City Council, allowing over 70 business applicants in Cedar Hill to be fully funded.

Small businesses continue to see backlash and negative affects on their business from the COVID-19 pandemic. Cedar Hill has approximately 1,500 businesses and 55% of those businesses have fewer than four employees.

“From the start, City Council and administration advanced efforts to protect citizens, employers, workforce, and visitors, so they can continue enjoying a safe and pleasant experience in Cedar Hill,” Cedar Hill Mayor Stephen Mason said. “The ‘Cedar Hill Way’ always leads a path to a brighter tomorrow, and that is due in large part to the respect, coordination, and resilience of our great community. The additional funding is supporting this fact in every aspect.

Cedar Hill Economic Development reports the funding opportunity is made possible by the CARES Act in collaboration with Dallas County.
