Last night City Council presented a proclamation designated June 12 as Women Veterans Day in Cedar Hill.

In 2017, the Texas State Legislature officially designated June 12 as Women Veterans Day, signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott. On this day, we commemorate the fearless service of women who have served our nation in the Armed Forces, and we honor female veterans and their families for their remarkable sacrifices and outstanding contributions to our nation. We are in our fifth year of recognizing women veterans and currently have four female veterans on staff.

The community is invited to participate in our Women Veterans Day Hike on June 2.

Air Force veteran and Cedar Hill resident, Deirdre Pollock, received the proclamation.
