**UPDATE 4:45pm** Fire Department has advised the fire has been contained. Anyone that has evacuated may return to their homes.
**UPDATE 4:15pm** Precautionary evacuations have been paused. Fire Department has slowed the spread of the fire. Roads will remain closed. Avoid the area.

Cedar Hill Police Officers are assisting with a large active grass fire moving east to west in the area of E. Belt Line Rd. and S. Duncanville Rd. The fire has moved over S. Duncanville Rd. moving west. Precautionary evacuations are underway in the immediate area. Streets are closed, please avoid the area.
