FIREFIGHTERS FROM 7 CITIES JOIN FORCES TO EXTINGUISH MAJOR DESOTO GRASS FIRE
Firefighters from DeSoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Dallas, Ovilla, and Midlothian have struck out a major grass fire in DeSoto that was fueled by drought, winds, and 100° temps. The fire was contained by early evening after burning an estimated 250 acres and was declared officially “out” after additional fire departments sent in bulldozer crews to prevent additional fire threats.
