December 12, 2022 – For the fourth time in the past five years, the DHS football team is returning to the UIL 6A State Championship game with the singular goal of bringing the state’s top title home to the City of Champions.

Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where the Panthers will face North Shore High School in its fourth rematch. The football team faced North Shore in 2021, 2019, and 2018 in the state championship games.

Reginald Samples has had a decorated career of more than 30 years and over 300 wins as a head coach. He has developed Duncanville High School football into one of the most dominant teams in Texas. “Our players have a lot of class, and they play hard” said Coach Samples. “This is the one we want!”

“Duncanville HS has an amazing group of student-athletes that work hard in the classroom and on the field, and we are proud of their undefeated football season” said Superintendent Dr. Marc Smith. “I know that Coach Samples has prepared them well, and now it’s time for them to execute.”
