5.1% of citizens unemployed in Dallas County in 2021

Dallas County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 70,995 people out of the 2,604,722 living in Dallas County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Dallas County has increased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Dallas County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 1,308,651 people who had a job during that time, 1,322 were employed in the Armed Forces and 1,307,329 belonged to the civilian labor force.
