City of Duncanville recently issued the following announcement.
In celebration of the Christmas Holiday, the City of Duncanville is hosting the annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
This year’s festivities will feature the lighted Christmas Parade down Main Street, pictures with Santa, the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and much more!
Christmas Parade | 6:00 pm
The Parade route starts on Wheatland Rd at Freeman St, heads west and turns right on N Main St then ends in downtown Duncanville.
Residents are welcome to set up blankets and chairs along the parade route to enjoy the fun and creative floats. After the parade, head to downtown for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and festivities!
Various road closures will affect the Wheatland & Main St area beginning at 5:00 pm on December 4.

Float entries welcome! There is a $25 float charge and applications are due by Friday, November 30.

Tree Lighting, Concert & Festivities | 7:00 pm
Downtown Duncanville near Memorial Park– 101 N. Main St., Duncanville, TX
Join Mayor Barry L. Gordon as he lights the downtown Christmas tree to kick off the holiday festivities, including live performances, singing Christmas carols, yummy food and drink options, bounce houses, games, and much more. Be sure to dress up for pictures with Santa!
Pictures with Santa are located at Ben Franklin Apothecary.
Vendor Opportunities

Street Closures
There will be street closures for the Duncanville Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 4 between the hours of 5:00 and 9:00 pm.
Expect street closures on Wheatland from Freeman to Main between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm AND on Main from Freeman to Davis between the hours of 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Please seek alternate routes Saturday evening, if possible.
Santa Mail
Santa’s Mailbox will be at City Hall – 203 E. Wheatland Rd. beginning Monday, November 29 for children to send their letters to Santa Claus. Drop off your letter to Santa by Monday, December 13 so he can reply before Christmas. Be sure to include your child’s name and a return address.
