Election Day is May 7, 2022

City of Duncanville recently issued the following announcement.

The 2022 City Election will be held on Saturday, May 7th.  The slate of offices includes Councilmembers to represent Mayor, District 2 and District 4.  All registered voters in the City of Duncanville will have the opportunity to vote for the Mayor position. Registered voters residing in Districts 2 and 4 will also have an opportunity to vote for their respective candidates.

Following is a list of Candidates:

  • Mayor
    • Erika Browning
    • Mark D. Cooks **
    • LaVaughn Washington
    • Barry L. Gordon **
  • Councilmember District 2
    • Don McBurnett **
    • Nancy Gutierrez
  • Councilmember District 4
    • Karen Cherry
    • Brenda O’Brien

Anyone not currently registered to vote has until April 7th to register in order to cast a ballot in the May election.  Voter registration cards may be obtained at City Hall or the Duncanville Public Library.  For more information regarding voter registration, residents may contact the Dallas County Elections Department at (469) 627-VOTE (8683).

Early voting will be conducted Monday, April 25, 2022 through Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Duncanville Library Conference Rooms located at 201 James Collins Blvd. as follows:

Monday, April 25th – Friday, April 29th:                  8:00 a.m. –  5:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 30th                                                        7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 1st:                                                              12:00 p.m. –  6:00 p.m.

Monday, May 2nd – Tuesday, May 3rd:                    7:00 a.m. –  7:00 p.m.
