Advantage Academy School District Education: 619 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 619 Hispanic students enrolled in Advantage Academy School District in the 2021-22 school year, 9.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Advantage Academy School District welcomed 1,138 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 54.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Advantage Academy School District roughly covers schools within Dallas County and has a main office in Duncanville.

Advantage Academy was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 619 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
